Il documentario che ha conquistato il Sundance raccontando la lotta del popolo egiziano contro il dittatore Mubarak, è un film nel film, una voce lucida e ironica sul potere dei media, una riflessione sul ruolo attivo che la rappresentazione degli eventi gioca negli eventi stessi. Dai colorati sit-in di protesta agli scontri con la polizia, l’occhio silenzioso di Jehane Noujaim segue infatti cinque protagonisti mentre a loro volta testimoniano, videocamera alla mano, le utopie e le atrocità di piazza Tahrir.
